Meet Our Staff
Alan Hoskins, President
lan Hoskins has many responsibilities including, but not limited to; the overall management of the company, recruitment of agents, training our agents and business development officers, developing investor relations and creating opportunities to provide personalized solutions to our customers.
Hoskins also continues to own and operate a family farm that he has managed for over three decades. He previously held the position of Community Bank President for Legence Bank, American Farm Mortgage’s parent company in Indiana. He also previously served for six years as Executive Vice President and headed up agricultural and commercial lending for Legence. Prior experience includes an additional 20 years in lending, serving as a director of an insurance corporation and other financial services corporate management.
Marcus Mullis, Business Development Officer
Marcus joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in January 2013. As Business Development Officer, Marcus covers the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors. He also assists customers with their financial needs and provides customized solutions for their operation. Marcus works with a variety of producers from dairy farmers to tree farmers and a large array of poultry farmers. He has completed financing for purchases of existing facilities, build out of new poultry facilities, and well as refinancing of ongoing facilities.
Marcus was born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Banking and Finance. Marcus has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. He currently resides in Saint Simon’s Island, GA with his wife, Geri.
Barry Rager, Business Development Officer
Barry joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in September 2016. Rager is responsible for developing business and assisting current American Farm customers in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri. Rager brings over 13 years of banking experience, 8 years in Ag leasing, along with several years as a CAT dealer, selling agriculture equipment. In addition, he has worked in the agronomy field selling inputs and providing recommendations for farmers. In addition to his experience in Ag lending, he brings over 30 years of knowledge from working on his family farm in Elkton, Kentucky. Rager brings a deep understanding of logistical, managerial and operational dynamics crucial for today’s agricultural business. Rager’s actively involved in the Todd County Extension Council, and serves as board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business from Western Kentucky University.
