Meet Our Staff

Alan Hoskins, President/CEO

As President of American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services, he has many responsibilities including, but not limited to; the overall management of the company, recruitment of agents, training our agents and business development officers, developing investor relations and creating opportunities to provide customized solutions to our customers. Hoskins also continues to own and operate a family farm that he has managed for over three decades. In addition to serving as President of American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services, Alan continues to serve as Community Bank President for Legence Bank in Indiana. He previously served for six years as Executive Vice President and headed up agricultural and commercial lending for Legence. Prior experience includes an additional 20 years in lending, serving as a director of an insurance corporation and other financial services corporate management.

Brian Banet, Vice President

Brian joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in February 2005. As the Vice President, Brian assists customers with billing and account questions, reports to the Board of Directors, works on delinquent accounts, and works with the various investors and Agents/Business Development Officers.

Tashia Morris, Vice President of Credit Administration

Tashia is the VP of Credit Administration for both American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services and its Parent Company, Legence Bank. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and after graduating college, she worked in retail for a local banking institution until she joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services' parent company, Legence Bank, in April 2001. Since joining the Legence Bank family, Tashia has had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in all areas of the loan department. In addition to originating consumer, residential real estate and commercial loans, she also manages and oversees the loan operations department.

Marcus Mullis, Business Development Officer

Marcus joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in January of 2012. As a business development officer, Marcus covers the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with customers and vendors. He also assists customers with their financial needs and provides customized solutions for their operation.

Barry Rager, Business Development Officer

Barry joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in September 2016. Rager is responsible for developing business and assisting current American Farm customers in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri. Rager brings over 13 years of banking experience, 8 years in Ag leasing, along with several years as a CAT dealer, selling agriculture equipment.  In addition, he has worked in the agronomy field selling inputs and providing recommendations for farmers. In addition to his experience in Ag lending, he brings over 30 years of knowledge from working on his family farm in Elkton, Kentucky. Rager brings a deep understanding of logistical, managerial and operational dynamics crucial for today’s agricultural business. Rager’s actively involved in the Todd County Extension Council, and serves as board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural business from Western Kentucky University.

Tricia Johnson, Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Tricia joined the American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services team, October 2013. She comes to American Farm with over 18 years of marketing, business development and customer service experience in both private and public sectors. She is responsible for planning, development, and implementation of all American Farm's marketing strategies, marketing campaigns, marketing communications, and public relations initiatives and projects, both external and internal. Tricia oversees the development and implementation of all editorial direction, production and distribution of all organization marketing materials and brand awareness. She coordinates planning for all trade shows and sponsored events, along with ensuring the organization regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinates and oversees all relevant activities. She works closely with the President on training initiatives and communication with agents across the US.

Jessica Stricklin, Marketing and Communications Coordinator

Jessica joined the American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in October 2015 as Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Jessica comes to American Farm Mortgage with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management from Tulane University. Jessica is responsible for assisting with American Farm Mortgage marketing strategies, marketing campaigns, media relations, external communications, and new media campaigns.

Benjamin Troester, Senior Loan Coordinator

Ben joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services parent company, Legence Bank, in April of 2009. From Legence Bank headquarters, in Eldorado, Illinois, he manages the team of loan assistants and post-closing department for both Legence Bank and American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services.

Jeff Hickam, Senior Credit Analyst

Jeff joined the American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in January 2016. Jeff comes to American Farm Mortgage with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Business Economics from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He began his banking career in 2004 and served for 12 years working primarily in loan review, credit analysis, along with assisting customers with consumer and real estate loans. He currently manages a team of analysts and oversees all aspects of large agricultural and commercial credit underwriting for both Legence Bank and American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services.

Kyle Bretsch, Credit Analyst

Kyle joined the American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services team in 2013 as a Credit Analyst. He is responsible for structuring, evaluating, and recommending the approval of prospective loan applications. Kyle joins American Farm Mortgage with experience in auditing community banks and a Bachelor's degree in both Accounting and Finance.

Julie Schmalz, Administrative Assistant

Julie started working at American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in 2003. Julie's responsibilities encompass support for all staff. When you call our office, her friendly voice will greet you and direct your call to the appropriate team member. Her willingness to help others and serve as a resource to all customers, prospects and vendors has proven to be invaluable.

Tia Runner, Staff Accountant

Tia comes to American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services with almost 5 years of foreclosure property management experience. Tia joined the American Farm team in November of 2012 as a post-closing specialist. She now works with Brian Banet in our Accounting Department, assisting customers with billing and account questions.

Lynn Ashby, Loan Closing Coordinator

Lynn coordinates the loan closing process with the customers, agents, underwriters, investors, appraisers and title companies. She brings a wealth of knowledge regarding loan closing, loan documentation, and legal documentation from past experience working in a law firm and with title companies. Lynn has an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies.

Lynsey Cusic, Post Closing Specialist

Lynsey joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in October 2014 as Post Closing Specialist. Lynsey comes to American Farm Mortgage with a Bachelor's of Art degree. She will be assisting customers and agents in the post-closing phase and throughout the life of the loan.

Garrett Turner, Post Closing Specialist

Garrett joined American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in August of 2015 as Post Closing Specialist. Garrett comes to American Farm Mortgage with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration. He will be assisting customers and agents in the post-closing phase and throughout the life of the loan.

Michelle Leinenbach, Loan Processing Specialist

Michelle joined Legence Bank in September 2013 and started working with American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services in February 2014. She prepares the loan closing documents for American Farm and Legence Bank. Michelle brings 22 years of experience in banking and lending with 5 of those years in Agricultural lending and financial services, along with an Associate's Degree in Office Systems and Specialties.

Lacey Kingston, Loan Processing Specialist

Lacey joined Legence Bank in February 2013 and started working with American Farm Mortgage & Financial Services and Legence Bank in November 2014. She prepares the loan closing documents for American Farm and Legence Bank. Lacey brings 4 years of experience in banking along with a Bachelor's of Science in Marketing.
